Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy sets out how Correda Property Group Pty Ltd, its related companies and managed syndicates and trusts (“Correda”) collects, uses, discloses and manages your personal information and how Correda complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“Privacy Act”).

Commitment

Safeguarding the privacy of our clients, staff and business associates is important to us. Correda is committed to protecting privacy. We support and are bound by the National Privacy Principles which sets the standard for how organizations should deal with personal information.

Use and Collection of Personal Information

Correda may obtain personal information for the purposes of providing you with products and services. We may use your information to provide you with information about other products or services offered by Correda, to respond to your enquiries or complaints, or to satisfy any legal requirements. We will not use that information other than for that purpose or for such related purposes as a reasonable person would expect to be used.

The types of information we collect may include your name, title, address, contact details, details of entities through which you invest, date of birth, bank account details, nominated beneficiaries and trust arrangements, and taxation identification.

In most cases we will collect this information from you directly and through forms you complete, however, other sources may include financial advisers, credit reporting bodies, contractors, public websites or other third parties.

Data Security

Your personal information is treated as confidential. Access to personal information is restricted to authorized employees and kept in-house. We will promptly notify you if we are aware of or have reasonable grounds to believe that your personal information held by us is involved in an eligible notifiable data breach and involves personal information being lost or subjected to unauthorised access or unauthorised disclosure which is likely to result in serious harm.

Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information to third parties such as outsourced service providers, including administration, custodial and registry service providers; printers and mailing houses, information technology systems, software providers, actuaries, professional advisers, business partners, including insurance underwriters, credit reporting bodies, financial intermediaries such as financial planners and taxation or accounting advisers, or other third parties you have authorised to receive your personal information.

Access to Information

You are entitled to obtain access to your personal information subject to some exceptions allowed by law. If you request access to your personal information held by Correda, we will, so far as possible, provide that information to you within two weeks of your formal request and on payment of any of Correda’s costs of retrieving and compiling that information. Correda will not provide information if, as is permitted under the National Privacy Principles, the request is frivolous or vexatious as in Correda’s reasonable opinion to do so would endanger another person.

Declining Product or Service Offers (Opting-out)

From time-to-time Correda may wish to use your information to tell you about other products, services or special offers that we think may be of interest to you. Please let us know if you do not want to receive these offers by contacting us using the contact details noted below or selecting the unsubscribe option in an email.

Complaints

If you wish to make a complaint about Correda’s privacy practices we request that you first contact our Privacy Officer with the details of your complaint. Correda undertakes that your complaint will be investigated diligently and our response will be provided to you as soon as reasonably practicable.

However, you have the right to complain to the office of the Privacy Commissioner either in the first instance, or if you feel Correda has not handled your complaint adequately.
